Importance of Communication in an Organization

Author: Stephen Thomson

Communication is one of the basic functions of management in any organization and its importance can hardly be overemphasized. It is a process of transmitting information, ideas, thoughts, opinions and plans between various parts of an organization.

It is not possible to have human relations without communication. However, good and effective communication is required not only for good human relations but also for good and successful business.

Effective communication is required at various levels and for various aspects in an organization such as -

For manager – employee relations:
Effective communication of information and decision is an essential component for management-employee relations. The manager cannot get the work done from employees unless they are communicated effectively of what he wants to be done? He should also be sure of some basic facts such as how to communicate and what results can be expected from that communication. Most of management problems arise because of lack of effective communication. Chances of misunderstanding and misrepresentation can be minimized with proper communication system.

For motivation and employee morale:
Communication is also a basic tool for motivation, which can improve morale of the employees in an organization. Inappropriate or faulty communication among employees or between manager and his subordinates is the major cause of conflict and low morale at work. Manager should clarify to employees about what is to be done, how well are they doing and what can be done for better performance to improve their motivation. He can prepare a written statement, clearly outlining the relationship between company objectives and personal objectives and integrating the interest of the two.

For increase productivity:
With effective communication, you can maintain a good human relation in the organization and by encouraging ideas or suggestions from employees or workers and implementing them whenever possible, you can also increase production at low cost.

For employees:
It is through the communication that employees submit their work reports, comments, grievances and suggestions to their seniors or management. Organization should have effective and speedy communication policy and procedures to avoid delays, misunderstandings, confusion or distortions of facts and to establish harmony among all the concerned people and departments.

Importance of written communication:
Communication may be made through oral or written. In oral communication, listeners can make out what speakers is trying to say, but in written communication, text matter in the message is a reflection of your thinking. So, written communication or message should be clear, purposeful and concise with correct words, to avoid any misinterpretation of your message. Written communications provides a permanent record for future use and it also gives an opportunity to employees to put up their comments or suggestions in writing.

So, effective communication is very important for successful working of an organization. Stop running and take a breather to take in what is happening...

I had never really thought about all the details that go into business at the same time. Even though I'm an accountant and business practices and procedures was part of my studies there. I didn't really realise just how much of it, I already use.

My tasks for the past 2 weeks, have been to come up with a business plan and set it out. This involves setting up your business structure, marketing plan and your financial plan. I worked on all 3 yesterday and came up with some interesting figures and facts. I'll be assemblying them altogether today and I think I may just have a pretty good business plan, but in my case. Bits4Babies.com has already been going for 3 years. So it was pretty easy to get the structure right, but the marketing and financial side of things amazed me. I'm glad I did that exercise. It just re-iterated where we were going and what we wanted to achieve.

That was just one of my tasks. The rest of the tasks will probably only get pulled into place properly over time, but I want to say this. The coaching that I'm receiving has already been invaluable. They keep up your confidence, keep your drive going and most importantly, they won't let you give up. Giving up is not a word I use often in my vocabulary, because I don't know what giving up is.

I have always been persistant and kept on going no matter what. That's who I am and the people that work with me, have kind of found that out. Sometimes, I steam ahead and they fall behind a little, this is when I try my very best to help them catch up with me, but I also know that I have to keep going ahead, so I try to slow it down a little. That is hard for me.

This business coaching is good and I can see many good things coming from it, but I really do need to keep my feet firmly on the ground and consider that there are other people that want to go as fast as me, but have to learn what I've learned to keep up. That is probably the biggest lesson I've learned this week. "Try and take a steady pace, so that others can keep up with you."

Well, I'll be beginning my week with more tasks to do, but with a fresh view on things. I'll keep you posted of what is happening.

I've got my confidence back. :)

Over the past 2 days I've been experimenting with my sewing machine and discovered that I'm not half bad at patchwork. After the patchwork playmat, I decided to try my hand at patchwork again.

This time I put together a couple of cushions, one pink and the other blue. They were made up of 4" squares with a calico backing and fire resistant filler. The are rather small to the standard size cushions, but they really do look really cute.

I could imagine them in a conservatory, living room or even in the bedroom. Just to brighten up the room a little. I hadn't realised that once I started I was going to get the bug and want to carry on with more... My head is swimming with ideas, I just have to put them into action and produce them.

I hope that you like the pictures. I thought I would just keep you up to date on my activities. :)
These cushions are also for sale on Ebay. So if you're interested, by all means come and have a look. Just press the buttons and you'll be taken straight to them. These items are only on a 10 day listing and they are really just one of a kind. So you can't get better than that, can you. :)

A Triumph

Today, I jumped another hurdle. ;) I finished the playmat, I started about a month ago. It turned out great. I was really impressed with it, even if I may say so myself.
It was the first time in years I tried patchwork and so this was a big task for me and now that it is done I'm proud of it. You saw a picture of it in it's beginning stages, but check it out now... :) YESSSSSSSSSSS..... I'm happy, can you tell? hehehe.
On the note of doing well, I've completed my course work for the moment and I've just implemented the last details to what I needed to do, now I just need to watch the webinars and then I'm completely done, ready for the review. Phew, talk about working under pressure. :)

Kev is going to be making plaster of paris casts soon, he finds it relaxing especially when he starts working on the painting detail. I'll show you that when he's done one, they are gorgeous. I wish I was half as talented as he is.

So you see, we are creative together in our own ways. :) Hope you like the pictures.

The journey continues...

As I write this, I am sat here in my pj's and my dressing gown with fluffy pink slippers on. So you can imagine, I'm still not fully awake yet, but I couldn't wait any longer to tell you the news.

http://www.bits4babies.com has had a make-over. We have spent hours and hours trying to get the site up to scratch again.... yes, we did get complacent, but now we are focused again and things are running nicely again. Bits 4 Babies was established on 6 January 2006 and has gone through many transformations, then we hit a stumbling block. We were teetering, we knew that now was the time when we would either slide back or go full steam ahead. We did the latter.

Over the past 2 weeks we have been consulting with other professionals and we have done the work necessary to give it that one last push. We got rid of all the old product pages, search pages etc and it is slowly correcting itself on the search engines. Kev and I are exhausted, but we keep going on, because we know we have to.

I have learnt a great deal more about web-design and put that into action, I put in what I already knew and added a little more. With advertising and marketing, it was just getting the right mix. We are now on our way up again and it feels great.

Bits 4 Babies US & CA now has a new look. We are planning on putting a community in place for those of you that like to share your experiences with parenting, pregnancy and child care. We hope to have a place where you can blog about your little angels and their antics. Show pictures and just share general information on pregnancy and toddler issues. This will most probably be our next move, but ummmmm, I need to figure out how to use the program. hehehe.

We have a newsletter in place now, so if you would like to know what is happening before anyone else does... Sign up. We would love to have you on board. We were invited onto a e-commerce course via Joel Comm's business associates. He is an expert in his field to say the least. You've seen him on tv, twitter and generally all over the net. He has an interesting out look on business and how it works for him. I can honestly say he has inspired us.

Although we cannot brag figures just yet, I'm sure that in the near future we will be able to give you a little background on how much our business is growing. We're on a plateau at the moment, so as soon as we've hit that next hurdle we'll let you know. The next update will be in a few weeks. So see you all then.

Finding the right way to explain something when it is technical in itself.

Have you ever undertaken a task to explain something when it is just too technical to put into simple terms? Well, I'm busy with a task right now, where I need to do just that, it has been extremely difficult for me to explain it in simple terms, because I'm just so used to the technical jargon.

I find myself using my brain more than ever before and it is a challenging job. I thought this would be a piece of cake, but clearly I was wrong. I will keep trying to get the mix right until I do get it right, but I think this task will take me a lot longer than I thought.

For all you technical folks out there, don't under estimate how difficult it is to explain something to some one that has not got a clue about what you are talking about. You will find yourself frustrated and the other person none the wiser.

So to come to the point. Put yourself in their shoes just for a little while and try and make it as simple as possible.

The Road ahead for bits4babies.com

I'm thinking to myself that life has taken us through many twists and turns, but never have I been on a roller coaster ride like this one. Recently we were approached by some pretty big people to be educated in the ecommerce industry.

All sorts of things are going through our minds at the moment, but we have attempted to keep level headed about it all, because on knowing what our site http://www.bits4babies.com is all about and how big it is, we know that we have a hell of a job ahead of us. We hope that during this year where we will be making some massive changes in the way that we have put the site across, that you will all join us on this journey. A screen shot will be added soon.

See you all on the other side of all of this and hope you will enjoy all the updates that we make to our site. To keep posted on what's happening, why not join our newsletter which can be found on our front page of http://www.bits4babies.com We will update you with all the new things that we have done to the site and at the end of the year we will show you a now and then image of the site.

How To Make Money From Funny Videos

You can easily make funny video websites, and then profit from them nicely. Many people have done it and are actually making their living off it. Here's how to make funny video websites and make money at it:

1. Getting a site.
The first thing to making a funny video website is choosing a good name. Have some fun trying to think up catchy names for your website. A catchy, unique and memorable name is key to not only getting traffic but maintaining traffic.

2. Getting the videos.
You can easily lift videos from other popular video sites. But there are also sites that allow you access to many of the popular funny videos which you can use. Many sites share with one another videos as well. So getting the videos to supply for your funny video website is relative easy.

3. Making the Money.
Making money off your site is going to consist of different forms income streams. From click on ad's, banner advertising, and actual products which you can sell on your site and receive heavy commissions from.

Start up accounts at Google and yahoo for click on ad's, and find internet products which will coincide with the type of videos you'll be showing. Many internet products will have programs for webmasters which you can sign up for and immediately start promoting products on your site. Once your site develops traffic, you can start to hit up larger business's for banner ad's which can pay very well. The combination of different income streams will bring in a steady income flow as long as your traffic is ramped up.

4. Putting your site together.
There are specific programs you can get for building sites. They will take the headache of "coding" away, and have you setting up your site quickly and fairly easily. A good "make video website" book or manual will show you exactly what needs to be done and provide inside access to sources which can make things thousands of times easier.

How To Make Money From Passions

Maverick Money Makers © 1997 - 2008
http://kimkev69.maverick66.hop.clickbank.net/

To make money online many people jump right in before they are properly prepared. You know that to be a rocket scientist, a doctor, a brick layer, a construction worker, an office worker, a teacher there are prerequisites, things you must learn, before you can be successful, you don't just jump right in unprepared.

The same applies to the Internet marketing industry even though there are unsavory people out there who'd have you believe it's a "Walk in the Park" and requires no more than the belief that you can just do it.

And I'll have to admit, it is a walk in the park compared to what you have to put up with in the working world punching a clock being a subordinate to someone who does not have your interests in mind, but there are still rules you have to follow and pitfalls you must avoid to actually make Internet marketing work for you.

Most people will not make a dime online and yet there are others who will make more in one month than most people make in a whole year. Why is that?

My answer begins with the age-old chicken or egg question, "what comes first the chicken or the egg"? Personally I vote for, well never mind, each argument you or I make comes back to the same old conclusion - I have no clue and I don't think many of us do either.

But one thing I do have a clue about and know for sure is that to make money online you must first have Passion for the company products and/or service of any Internet business from which you expect to make money.

Passion in this sense simply means that you've researched and like the company and products or services. It is then that you translate that like (or Passion) into the education, excitement and work that usually accompany Passion.

I will have to say that many online entrepreneurs are so good at what they do that they ignore passion because they can sell anything. But I'm concerned about those of you who are not so knowledgeable at working an online business successfully.

Now, I'm not trying to make anyone believe that Passion is the only thing necessary. Because to be successful you must also have a good website, good marketing, widespread advertising, company support, effective keywords, and etc. Those things are often learned from the company you join - but sidestep Passion and you reduce your chances for success dramatically.

It therefore follows that, if you have no Passion for the company and the products and services provided by that company, again, you won't attempt to do the work you are being taught.
Internet marketing work is typically not all that difficult or time consuming but it does take motivation caused by Passion to get you off and running with a sustained effort so that you won't stumble.

You have a great resource in the Internet search engines to search about the Internet Marketing industry for business opportunities, USE IT!

Your research should uncover a company that you like and have confidence in. It should be solid, founded on great principles, and easy to understand with great products and services that are sell-able for which you can have Passion. If you don't find it move on,You can find the right opportunity containing the attributes identified above.

Comments like, well, that one sounds good and the compensation plan is excellent so I guess I'll start that business - does not sound like a decision based on anything near Passion. And remember when you hear that an Internet "guru" does that, don't be tempted, because as I said earlier they are experienced and can sell just about anything, without being Passionate about the company products and services.

Note: By the way it's your goal to get to the point where you can sell about anything online. That end skill and goal is a worthy one indeed.

Remember, there are other steps you must make before you step into Internet Marketing but if you don't first find the right company products and services to be passionate about, all of those other steps may just cause you a lot of frustration instead of bringing you great success.

Not being Passionate about a company and products and services that has market proof that it will sell is a pitfall you simply must avoid.

Making Money With Google Adwords Isnt as Hard as You Think

Adwords Profits 2

After hearing so much hype about this new ebook from various forums I regular, I decided to purchase it for the incredible cheap price of $47.

I really wasn’t expecting much from an ebook of only $47 that would probably tell me the same old recycled information about adwords that’s been out of date for already around two years. And while downloading it I already felt tricked out of my money once again by another ebook promising the impossible.

Although after reading it, attempting to salvage the $47 I thought I had lost I was amazed at the quality of his tactics and the way it was all consolidated into a concise 57 page ebook.

For more information check out : Adwords Profits 2

A few things I was completely floored by:

-Jacobo's amazing way of laying out his true and tested methods to making money through adwords to veterans and newbie’s alike.

-The fact that I should never be paying for more than $0.05 for keywords. Before this I had always been told by the "gurus" to pay more for targeted keywords to get the best traffic possible.

-Google Adwords isn’t as complicated as it is made out to be. There is no need to be testing for hours on end the most efficient keywords.

-The easiest way imaginable to develop a complete opt-in list for future use.

-That google adwords shouldn’t be the main aspect of your business, it should only be used as a tool to get targeted traffic to your site to be able to sell your product. (Here is where my only complaint with the ebook lies, I only wish we could be told more about what products would be a good idea and what niches would be good places to start becoming established).

All in all I am ranking it in my top 5 ebook purchases. Its short concise manner and the good relavent information allows me to not drift off after the 10th page. I’ll be sure to check out any future techniques Jacobo comes up with for making money on Google Adwords.

Compared to dozens of other ebooks about google adwords I honestly felt like Jacobo was not just publishing Adword Profits 2 to put money into his own pocket, but to enlighten the thousands of us who for years have been trying to make money through Adwords and have failed because we were handed the same recycled information over and over again.

How to Make Money Online - a Guide for Beginners - Part 3 - Using Pay Per Click (ppc)

Author: James Curtis

Using pay per click advertising is a vital tool for anyone looking to make money online. In this article, I discuss the key areas required for effective PPC advertising. Google AdWords is the most popular PPC scheme and there are a number of factors that determine the success or failure of any AdWords campaign.

Before beginning a campaign you must have clearly defined goals for example are you trying to send customers to a review page of an affiliate product your advertisment will not be aimed at selling the product but designed to encourage click throughs to the review page.

The aim of PPC is to drive targeted traffic to a specific page where a pre-sell via a review or a direct sell is made, a % of which you receive as commission. The amount of people who see your advert is dependant on the popularity of the keywords you choose. More popular keywords attract more competitors and push the advertisng price up, however may provide greater opportunity for making money online.

To make money online the most important aspects of a Google AdWords campaign include:

" Keyword selection. In general terms the more targeted the keyword, the better. You'll get less click throughs but they will be from people who are genuinely interested in your product or service.

" Advertisement. The headline is the most important aspect. Make sure that it relates to the keywords you have chosen to bid on - this will help keep the advertising cost lower.

" Display URL. The more relevant this appears to be to the keywords you're bidding on, the greater chances of a click. For example if you are selling dvd copy software the name of the software should be used.

" Landing page URL. This needs to be specific to your keywords and advertisement. If you're bidding on Madonna then you shouldn't be sending people to a page about trainspotting. If it's not relevant Google will penalise you by charging a lot more per click.

" Budget. How much are you willing to pay per click? Estimate how many visitors it will take for a single conversion (sale) start of around 1% and work out from your commission how much you can afford to pay and still make money.

For example: If your commission is $30 per sale at conversion rate of 1% that means that every 100 clicks = 1 sale.
Therefore $30/100 or $30 x (1/100) = $0.30 pay per click is break even so a figure less than this for advertising is required to make a profit.

" Daily Budget. The amount of money you are willing to spend in a 24 hour period. Keep in mind that if you're making money, it's okay to spend money.

These are just some of the basics associated with creating a successful AdWords campaign. The truth of the matter is that being able to consistently make money online with Google AdWords takes knowledge and experience. The more you work with pay per click advertising, the better results you'll have.

Make Money With Google Adwords

Make Money Online With Google AdWords by Bing Zou

More and more people in today's world use the Internet as a tool to get or sell product, service or information.

The trend is that most of those users use keywords search, not directories or categories. Google holds the half market of keywords search.

Meanwhile, PPC (pay per click) campaign has hit the web like a storm. Pay per click campaign attracts much more interest from both advertisers and webmasters.

Keywords or key phrases are terms that a possible client would use to find your product or service. Keywords research is a continuous never-ending process that can help increase traffic and attract targeted visitors.

The best answer for PPC campaign to promote your products (including affiliate programs) is Google AdWords. To select your affiliate programs, the easiest way is to sign up to ClickBank, Commission Junction and LinkShare.

Google has leveraged their market share as the internet's top search engine to deliver their version of the pay per click advertising model. Sign up for the AdWords program is free and they only require a $5 USD deposit before they will start to display your ad. It's easy to run and control.

Google's AdWords service has brought success to many businesses by providing them with a large amount of highly targeted traffic from as little as 1 cents per visitor. However, there is probably an equal number of webmasters who have paid for AdWords and seen little benefit or have indeed made substantial losses. If the latter applies to you, then the following may be useful to you.

The problem with Google AdWords is that it has become very difficult to find keywords at a reasonable price. Bidding on keywords like "make money online" or something in that range will kill your advertising budget in no time.

In my personal experience, it seems that a good market will be between 40,000 to 100,000 searches for that particular month. Less than that may be a weak market, and more than that could be too competitive. To find out for sure, you can use the Overture bidding tool for a particular word or phrase, and look at the third bid, it should be at least .30 up to $2.00. Again, less than .30 could be weak and more than $2.00 could be too competitive. You know, Overture is similar to Google AdWords, just it shows you the bid list.

For keywords selection, the best one is Ad Word Analyzer 3.0. You can "Discover the Quick and Easy Way to Drive Massive Amounts of Laser-Targeted Traffic to Your Site Today". Please pay more attention on Targeted Traffic. I want to say "only targeted traffic will soar your sale".

It seemed not very difficult to make profit online with Google AdWords: just join an affiliate program, promote it on Google Adwords and get commissions.

However, you have to learn more about Google AdWords for your living. But the more you learn, the more you will make. I believe it is your new lifestyle to make money online with Google AdWords.

Affiliate Marketing Tips - How To Become An Expert Affiliate Marketer

Author: Michael Goudelock

Affiliate marketing is one of the most powerful ways to make money online today. There are plenty of affiliate marketing tips out there that will jump start your way into making over 6 figures a year just by selling other merchants products. If you do not know what affiliate marketing is, please let me explain. Affiliate marketing is when you sell someone else's product or service for a commission. You can sell someone else's product or service through your affiliate marketing website or through paid advertising. Just take a look at the affiliate marketing news and find the best product to sell. The best place to be an affiliate marketer is clickbank, the world's largest affiliate marketing website. Here are the options you will find on clickbank to be an affiliate marketer:

Cost per click (CPC) - When a visitor clicks on the merchant advertisement and the affiliate get paid by per click.

Cost per lead (CPL) - Affiliate will get paid when the lead generated.

Cost per sale (CPS) - Affiliate will get paid when the sale generated (Maximum Earning Program)

Success in affiliate programs is not easy, affiliate marketing requires extremely hard work. There are many affiliate marketing help message boards around that will answer any questions regarding affiliate marketing that you may have. Once you find the right affiliate marketing niche, it is easy sailing from there.

You will need the following to be a successful affiliate marketer:

1. A Niche Affiliate Marketing Product-You need to find a product potential customer's NEED, not WANT. Your job is to bring the customer to the sales page and make them NEED the product and not just WANT it. Many customers see products all the time they want, but convincing them they NEED the product will lead to a affiliate marketing sale of up to 75%.

2. A Website- Now you do not need a high cost website, just something basic and neat. The purpose of your website is to offer some sort of review page, reviewing the affiliate marketing product of your choice. You need to show potential customers the benefits of your affiliate marketing product and why they need it.

3. Set up Paid Advertising- Go to Google and click on the AdWords section. You need to bid on keywords your potential customer will search for when searching for your affiliate marketing product. You don't want to spend to much money here and you may not need paid advertising, but it truly does help and lead to sales.

4. Article Writing-It's FREE! You need to write as many articles as you can inserting keywords on each article. You need to submit them to EzineArticles. I suggest you submit 50+ articles on any affiliate marketing product you choose.

Affiliate marketing can be one of the most profitable and low start-up costs businesses out there. There is nothing that compares to the benefits affiliate marketing can bring. In less than 4 hours, you can have a product that is already making sales with NO start-up costs.

In whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best of luck!

Beginners Affiliate Marketing Tips

Author: Debbie Ducker

Beginners affiliate marketing can be quite overwhelming. It is clear from the start that you have a huge learning curve before you will see your first commission earned. But what many do not realize is that they are their own worst enemy. By not knowing some vital "affiliate marketing tips" you can lose quite a bit of money right out of the box without even realizing it.

Below you will find some beginners affiliate marketing tips that are often over looked or unknown altogether.

1. Test URL's - Never assume you have put your URL's in your ads correctly. I have been advertising affiliate programs for years and still make mistakes with this. Always copy the URL from your ad and paste it in a browser and hit enter to make sure the URL goes to the site you intended for it to.

2. URL's Capitalized - if you are using a URL and typing it out such as this: YourAffiliateProgram.com instead of this youraffiliateprogram.com then you need to know that some browsers will not parse this correctly from an email ad or even a web page link. I.E. included. As an advertising agent for many customers over 10+ years, I have seen this happen over and over. Don't risk it. Always use lower case letters.

There is one exception to this and that is if a file name has been named with upper case letters or you have signed up with a username with upper case letters in it. Examples such as: youraffiliateprogram.com/FileName.html, .php, .asp etc. or youraffiliateprogram.com/?YourAffiliateUsername or ID then it must be used just as named and cannot be altered. This warning is pertaining to the main domain name part only.

3. Using Direct Affiliate Links or URL's - using direct affiliate links in your advertising can mean less click through's, to your web site, because of a possible block on the link. There are many major ISP's that keep up with URL's that have complaints on them. If there are so many complaints then this URL will quickly go on a block list. Then what happens is when you use this straight affiliate URL in your advertising as the advertisers send your ad out, many bounces come back with the warning that this message could not be sent due to a URL in the message being on a blocked list. It is always best to use your own web site to either forward to your affiliate URL or a quality tracking or cloaking system of some type. Again I highly recommend setting this up on your own site as well with something like Covert Affiliate Links or Protrack Manager.

One side note for tracking and/or cloaking software. Avoid having to use a ? in the tracking URL. This is a major problem with many free advertising sites and numerous other reasons I don't have room to list here. A URL without a ? in it is always better.

4. Cloaking - also be aware that cloaking your URL can keep your affiliate id from being passed to the visitor. Cloaking is different then simply tracking a URL. Cloaking usually sets up a frame set itself making the site it lands on look as if it is from your own web site or the site of the cloaking software. Test any cloaker or tracking system you use before advertising with the URL. Because if your cloaking software or the site your are advertising on is using frames it can prevent your affiliate ID from passing on to the visitors that land on your site.

Check this by clearing your cookies and temporary Internet files, then use a URL frame breaker tester such as you find on many traffic exchanges and safe list sites. While your affiliate site is in the frame, go to the join page and make sure you are the referrer being credited. This will let you know if your cloaking software is doing more harm then good.

A good rule of thumb on the above is not to use the cloaking option on a URL that will be used in any framed environment, such as a traffic exchange or a credit based safe list. Ask any one you are paying to place ads for you, about this, if you are unsure. Any good tracking software will give you the option to cloak or not cloak a URL.

Use these beginners affiliate marketing tips to quickly become a pro affiliate marketer without worries of missing commissions due to you.

Sincerely, Debbie Ducker

Affiliate Marketing Tips to Generate Unstoppable Traffic

Author: Michael Lee

Of all affiliate marketing tips, generating traffic is probably the most important topic. This is because without traffic, no visitors would come to your affiliate sites; hence, there is no way you can make money.

A lot of affiliates don’t have any affiliate plan or strategy in place to promote their affiliate offers. They don’t know that not all website traffic generation techniques will work for affiliates.

In this article, I will be revealing four website traffic techniques that affiliates can begin to use right away to earn those big commission checks.

Google Adwords: This is the quickest way to generate targeted traffic to your affiliate offers. With just $5 you can start generating traffic to your affiliate offers in the next 15 minutes.

Google ads are those ads you see on the right hand site on most search results on google. If you do a search on google, you’ll notice that there are two sets of results. The main ones on the left and the small texts coloured blue on the right.

Advertisers place those ads on the right and they pay for every click on their ads. Your job is to be placing those kinds of ads. Go to google.com/ads for more details.

Article Marketing: This is a great way to generate steady and long-term traffic to your affiliate offers. Another reason why it is great is because it is free. All you need to do is write quality articles and submit to article directories. Please note that some article directories like ezinearticles.com do not accept affiliate links.

To beat that, create a mini website or a blog (using blogger.com or wordpress.com) where you can send your visitors before redirecting them to the merchant’s website. Alternatively, you can buy a new domain name and redirect to your affiliate link.

Ezine Advertising: This is one of the earliest forms of advertising on the Internet. Look for targeted newsletters and advertise your affiliate websites and offers. Write a powerful ad and you will see results in no time.

Solo ads seem to work best with ezine advertising. They are those ads that are sent exclusively to list members. No other ads are placed alongside yours.

To find good ezines to advertise in, go to google and do a search on “ezine advertising” (without the quotes).

Viral Marketing: Write short reports related to your affiliate products and give them out for free. Give them to your subscribers for free, and send them to other product owners to use as bonuses. Remember to include your affiliate links within the contents.

Make sure you give quality information in the report or people won’t appreciate your affiliate recommendations in your report.

If you don’t know how to create such reports, you can buy a private label right report and edit it to your satisfaction.

Out of all affiliate marketing tips, generating traffic is arguably the most important so use these tips and start earning your affiliate commissions now.

There are literally thousands of affiliate marketing tips on the internet. The following are three affiliate marketing tips, which you must implement if you want to build more traffic, create more sales, generate more profits, and ultimately stay in the affiliate marketing game.

Affiliate Marketing Tip #1: Targeted Traffic

The first affiliate online marketing tip is to get targeted traffic to your website. You need targeted traffic. Search Engines, forums and ezines are excellent places to find information, so they are great places for you to advertise. Optimise your site for the search engines, contribute consistently to article directories, set up PPC advertising, and participate in forums.

Affiliate Marketing Tip #2: List Building

It is vital to follow up with your prospects. Each visitor to your site is valuable. You need to build a relationship with them by offering them useful information. With this affiliate marketing tip, you must have an opt-in box on your website for visitors to subscribe to your newsletter. Occasionally broadcast positive product reviews to your subscribers as well.

To get visitors to sign up to your free newsletter, maybe you could also offer a free report for them to download.

Affiliate Marketing Tip #3: Unique Content

The final tip to implement if you want to stay in the affiliate marketing game is to create unique content. The most targeted traffic comes from the search engines. When building your website, your aim should be to rank well in and dominate the search engines. Unique content with useful information will enable you to do this.

Post testimonials of happy customers and include excellent product reviews on your site, as this is what a lot of individuals are searching for. Do not make them sound like a sales pitch. Write to your prospects as though you understand their problems and how the products can solve them. Also explain the product benefits clearly.

So targeted traffic, list building and unique content are three affiliate marketing tips, which you must implement if you want to build more traffic, create more sales, generate more profits, and ultimately stay in the affiliate marketing game.

Great Affiliate Marketing Tips for Newbies

Author: Damien Oh

Affiliate marketing is a great way to earn huge fortune from the Internet. This article on affiliate marketing tips is aimed at people who are new to affiliate marketing. Most of these tips are not meant to be the “Secrets” as there is really no secret to success. However, it is a guide to lead you through the correct path of affiliate marketing and not make the mistakes others are making.

1) Choose a topic that you know

The most common mistake make by newbie affiliate marketers is to promote a product that they have no passion or knowledge on. If you intend to build a long term business, you have got to find yourself a topic that you love to talk and share about, only then can you succeed in affiliate marketing. Choosing a niche starts from your passion, knowledge, hobbies and interest. Look around you and you will be able to find plenty of hot niches easily.

2) Research the market

Not all niches are profitable. You have to do your own research. The best way to do a research is to carry out a keyword research. This will determine the level of interest from the public. Another good way to do research is to check out forums and discussion groups. They are often a good source to do market research.

3) Find an affiliate product that people want

The third affiliate marketing tip is to promote products that people wants. Affiliate marketing is not about selling things. Instead it is about recommending good products to others. Thus, the first thing that you should do is to source for an affiliate products that people want and then recommend it. Resources that you can use to source affiliate products are Google, Amazon and Ebay. In addition, before you promote the products, check out reviews of the merchant and the products from fellow affiliates. You definitely don't want to deal with a nasty or dishonest merchant

4) Register your own domain name and build your website

Having your own domain name and website is essential for a successful affiliate marketing business. It allows you to collect information from your visitors and follow up with them later on.
5) Recommend, not selling

The most important affiliate marketing tips of all is to understand the difference between recommendation and selling. In affiliate marketing, you should only recommend the product and send your visitors to the merchant site. Recommend the product from your customer point of view. This will allow you to build a good relationship with your visitors. Do not attempt to sell to your visitors. Leave the selling to the merchant.

6) Follow up with your leads

People normally buy after several exposures to the product. You have to keep follow up with your leads and tell them the benefit of the product. Believe me, most of your affiliate commission will come from your following up. A good way to follow up with your leads is to use autoresponder and email marketing.

The above are only some of the affiliate marketing tips that you can use when starting your affiliate marketing business. Follow these tips and you are off for a good headstart.

All the best to your affiliate success.

5 Affiliate Marketing Tips to Build Your Business

Author: John Hartley

When you start your affiliate marketing business, the most important tip I can give you is to work it as a business. First, you need to find yourself some space to work in. If you don't have a spare room, I suggest you put the computer up in a bedroom, where it is away from the noise of the TV and everyday life.

Now you have somewhere to work, set yourself a number of hours to work each week on affiliate marketing, whether this involves working in the evenings, or stopping the work you would be doing on other projects during the day.

Second affiliate marketing tip: set your working hours

How much time? The more the better, but if you are working at a job, I recommend you try to work 10 hours a week at affiliate marketing, and if that seems impossible start with 6 hours a week. That is about the minimum. That would probably include one hour at the weekend.

If you are not ready to spend an hour each weekend on this part-time job, maybe affiliate marketing is not for you. That may seem a bit harsh, but the fact is that once you have your own business you will need to work quite a few hours at it at least in the early days.

If you have more time, either because you have a part-time job, or have lost your job, then try to work 20 hours a week at affiliate marketing.

Set yourself tasks for each week

Next, you need to set yourself some tasks. These are the most important jobs, the ones that will have most effect on pushing your business forward so it is making money. At first, you will probably find that you will not get many jobs done. This is almost always the case.

Next week, carry forward the jobs you did not do, and add new ones. But this time, reduce the total number slightly, and re-assess the importance of each job. By now you may decide that some of the tasks are not so important after all.

You can also set daily tasks, but if you are only working a few hours a day at affiliate marketing, a list of weekly tasks will be more useful.

Choose carefully

My third affiliate marketing tip is to choose the affiliate products you market carefully. By all means sign up for quite a number of products while you are scanning the list of possibles, because you may find a way of marketing them later. However, you should start off marketing only one or two products. Here are my tips for selection:

1.Look for affiliate products in strong markets, preferably where you have some interest or knowledge, but where it is obvious there is a big market. If there is a market, there will be plenty of products out there, and there will be people who have a need or strong desire for that product.

2.Find a niche within that market, preferably a small market, but still where people have a need or desire. For example, dating is a big market, but you would need to find a product suitable for a small niche.

3.Find products that are selling well. On Clickbank, a high gravity tells you a product is selling well, and most affiliate networks have some method of ranking.

The 5th affiliate marketing tip

My final tip of this group is this: keep a journal, where you record what you do. This can consist of short notes, just to remind you what you have done, which programs you have signed up for, and so on. Of course, you need to record all your affiliate codes and programs, and the best place for this is a spreadsheet.

If you follow these affiliate marketing tips, you will soon get your business working for you, and will start making some money.

Super Affiliate Marketing Tips to Boost Your Affiliate Profits

Author: Michael Lee

Whether you're new to the affiliate marketing business or you have been around for awhile, there are super affiliate marketing tips you can apply to have your profits soaring like an eagle.

Many people simply disregard these super affiliate marketing tips, but they have been proven very effective. They have also been proven to increase profits double, and triple-fold!

If you are wondering about what some of these super affiliate marketing tips include, here is a bit of information that will greatly increase the profitability of your business on the internet:

Super Affiliate Marketing Tips 1: Create Squeeze Pages

One important issue that many people probably have never thought about is the creation of squeeze pages for their affiliate marketing business.

A squeeze page is a website that you create that will essentially have one main goal: to obtain the names and email addresses of potential visitors, customers, and affiliate marketing partners. This will help create a sustainable income stream for you.

Even though the main purpose of the squeeze page is to gather email addresses of potential customers for your affiliate marketing business, this does not mean that you shouldn't have credible information on your site.

You should include several major benefits of the products and the affiliate marketing business your promoting.

This will help you pique the interest of the consumer when asking for their name and email address at the end. These email addresses can then be used to administer future email marketing campaigns for your affiliate marketing business!

Super Affiliate Marketing Tips 2: Give Away Products

Another tip that affiliate marketers should use is the technique of giving away free gifts to potential customers and visitors to their site.

For example, many people are currently creating e-books, free reports, and other digital products. These free products should actually be used to entice potential buyers of the product that you are promoting.

Oftentimes, there is a small, if not non-existent cost to the advertiser for creating these digital advertisements. If you have a reliable product for your affiliate marketing campaign, then your sales and conversion rates can be improved greatly by offering free products and gifts to customers and visitors to your website!

Both of these super affiliate marketing tips are great ways to enable affiliate marketers to create the income that they want and desire! By harnessing the power of the internet and all the possibilities of internet marketing, you can easily succeed with your affiliate marketing campaign.

Affiliate Marketing Tips – 3 Vital Factors for Affiliate Marketing Success

Author: Michael Lee

We all need to apply effective affiliate marketing strategies to succeed in becoming super affiliates. There are many products out there that claim to teach you powerful affiliate marketing tips and methods to earn bigger commissions; but before you invest on any resources, you must be aware of 3 vital affiliate marketing tips for maximum success.

In this article, I’m going to be revealing to you for FREE, the three things you must do to succeed in your affiliate marketing business. This means that if you do these things, you will succeed in your business; but if you don’t do them, your chances of success are small.

Here they are:

Affiliate Marketing Tip # 1: Build Your Own Website

The number one mistake most affiliates make is that they don’t build their own website. They promote the affiliate links they are given directly. That is a likely path to failure.

It is important to build your own website. Be it for review purposes or just a squeeze page. You have more chances to succeed on the long term with your website than without your own website.

Even if you don’t have the funds to invest in a website, create a blog using blogger.com or wordpress.com.

Affiliate Marketing Tip # 2: Promote Continuously

I’ve come across a lot of affiliate marketers who sign up to an affiliate program and just leave it without promoting. If you are like that, you can never make money as an affiliate.

Affiliate marketing, just like other forms of making money online, requires constant promotion. You have to regularly promote your affiliate campaigns using the methods you know if you want to establish a lasting affiliate business.

Affiliate Marketing Tip # 3: Build Your List

If you’re not new to Internet marketing, you would have heard the statement “The Money Is In The List”. It’s very true. If you have a responsive opt in email list, your affiliate marketing campaigns will surely succeed.

An opt-in list is a database of names and email addresses of people that have asked for more information from you. Their details are filed in an autoresponder.

When you have such a list, all you need to do is to send emails to them promoting relevant offers. You no longer need to spend money on promotion. This is what the big Internet marketers do. They have their own loyal list of subscribers they can turn to over and over again. Reliable autoresponders include aweber.com and getresponse.com.

Make sure you start building your own opt in email list to increase your chances of making a “killing” with your affiliate marketing campaigns. Following these affiliate marketing tips will increase your chances of affiliate marketing success tenfold.

Affiliate Marketing Tips for Sucess

Author: The Maverick Marketeer

These few important affiliate marketing tips will help you choose the best affiliate program for your unique needs.

So, how do you go about choosing the right affiliate marketing program? Well, there are a number of considerations when looking at different programs.

Besides the product itself and the company you’ll be representing (make sure you do your homework here), one of the primary considerations will be the type of performance base your program rewards you by.

Programs will pay per click for ads that you place for products and or services; pay per lead, in which cast a prospect simply fills out a short information form; and still others pay a percentage per sale.

It will be up to you to look at how your efforts will be rewarded and to also check into how other affiliates rate each program. Some programs require that you have a website in place with a minimum amount of daily web traffic to promote their product and others not so much.

When making your decisions, keep in mind that it’s easier to get a click than it is to get someone to fill out a form; which is in turn easier than helping someone make a purchase. Depending on your audience and how well a program can be expected to perform, make your selections accordingly.

Another very important consideration is the level of support and training you receive from the program you select. From the perspective of using these programs to increase you knowledge of online marketing, I’d rate this point at the top of my list for choosing a program to join.

Finding a program that offers you the tools and support to learn and do well should be a number one priority in your selection process.

10 Ways to Sell Your Art, an Overview of Selling Options

Author: Cathy Robertson

As an Artist you know there is no greater thrill than seeing your artwork on someone’s wall; knowing that they love it, that you have brought joy into their world. Whether you're a part time hobby artist, a full time professional or somewhere in between there is always opportunity to sell your work. You may find that one or more methods work well for you. Pursue them. Hone your skills. Reap the rewards! Remember the old adage, “Nothing ventured, nothing gained ...”

Your Local Art Community

If you haven’t already done so, check out your local ‘art scene’. Many communities have organizations designed for the budding Artist. They offer classes, exhibits, information on local events (booth opportunities) and general art related resources. You may also fine resources through the Chamber of Commerce and your local Colleges and Universities. It’s a great place to start.

Word of Mouth

Everyone loves to sell by word of mouth. It’s free and you know people are talking good things about your art. Great word of mouth is every seller’s dream.

Advantage: Someone else is marketing for you simply by giving their recommendation to a friend.

Disadvantage: In order for “word of mouth” to be affective, people have to know about it first!

Conclusion: It takes time to develop ‘word of mouth’ selling. Produce good work, conduct yourself with integrity and a great reputation will follow! It is worth its weight in gold.

Commissioned Work

With commissioned work, you sell it before you create it.

Advantage: You can pretty well expect to get paid for the job, assuming you deliver as promised.

Disadvantage: You have to market yourself to get the job. And you are obligated to paint within someone else's parameters rather than yours completely.

Conclusion: Working within boundaries forces you to solve the problems it presents. It forces creative solutions. Many of us do our best work when presented with unique challenges!

Event Booths

Event booths can be a fun way to sell your artwork and participate in the community.

Advantage: Booth rentals can be relatively inexpensive. You get to talk with people and promote your work. You get instant feedback. You know immediately how people feel about your artwork; everything from style, content, size and price. You get a ‘feel’ for the market. You have the opportunity to get the word out about you and your art; give out business cards or email contact.

Disadvantage: You have to deal with how you will accept payment (credit card, cash, check). You don’t want someone to walk off with one of your paintings and find out their check was bad. You need to sell enough to cover your expenses. Event opportunities may not come around often enough to suit your taste or you may not have enough pieces to warrant having a booth.

Conclusion: Consider these - renting a booth with other Artists if you don’t have enough work to fill the space; excepting credit cards or cash only; selling low price point prints or cards of your artwork to passers by (for spontaneous sales). Market yourself to the hilt. Tout your web site.

Your Own Web Site

Nowadays everyone seems to have their own web site. If you have anything to sell, people expect you to have one.

Advantage: It’s fast, convenient and you’re not confined to any one location. Your artwork is available for people around the world to see 24/7. Getting online can be done on the cheap. If you’re willing to do the research, the world is literally at your fingertips to learn the In's and out’s of being online.

Disadvantage: Getting on the web is one thing. Getting found by people searching for your product is quite another. Getting listed on page 158 on a Google search doesn’t add up to sales. Unless your prepared to take on the full time job (and expense) of marketing your site, you will most likely only be found by people to whom you have personally given your web address. You will also need to have a payment and delivery method. And work out things like who pays shipping.

Conclusion: If at all possible, at least get a web page. Give people a convenient way to see your work and contact you by email. It’s expected.

A Hosted Website

Showing your artwork on a hosted web site is a fairly fast and easy process.

Advantage: When you show your work on someone else's web site, you don’t have to market your art or your website. It is relatively inexpensive. There are online companies that will ‘host’ your artwork and often for free or a small annual fee. Buyers are then directed to you; where you handle the sale and shipping, etcetera… Some of them even take care of accepting payment, shipping and returns if you sell prints of your art that they produce (for a fee of course). Luckily many are able to print on demand, so you don’t have to ‘buy’ the print until someone places an order for it.

Disadvantage: The hosting site makes the bulk of their money by selling their services to you (hosting and producing prints), not by selling your original pieces of art. In other words, they do not target sales to a specific market of art buyers; but rather you, the Artist. You may have to provide your own digital capture. If you want to offer larger prints you will need to use high end capture methods (professional camera or scanner). The hosting company may also take a % of the sale for themselves.

Conclusion: It’s a fantastic way to get your art ‘on the web’ without a lot of time or expense involved.

Art Shows & Galleries

Art shows are often hosted by galleries and organizations that can attract lots of interested buyers.

Advantage: The event is advertised by the host, so you don’t have to. Art shows can be a great way to introduce yourself and your art to the local market (and possibly larger, if a licensing agent sees your work). You have the opportunity to sell your work or walk away with an award. Everybody loves an ‘award winning’ artist! Many Artists get their start via shows and galleries.

Disadvantage: You may not be accepted into the Show or you may have to pay to enter. Galleries are very particular about the work they carry. Once you are accepted, if you are accepted, you can expect the Gallery to take 40-60% commission right off the top. You must do your homework and deal with reputable galleries only.

Conclusion: The Internet is great, but it’s impossible to beat the ‘real thing’ when it comes to viewing art. Viewing the original up close and personal is the true art experience. The high end sales are still made in the galleries. Go for it.

Sell Prints

Selling prints of your original art is easier today than ever before.

Advantage: You can sell prints of a popular piece at an affordable price. You can sell the original as well or choose to keep it in your own private collection. Fine art printing companies are widely available on the Internet and elsewhere. Many of them do digital capture as well as the printing itself. Depending on your budget, and quality of digital capture, you have control over the type and quality of the Giclee Prints created. You also have choice of selling limited or open edition prints.

Disadvantage: You have to invest in the digital capture and printing services and hope that you can re-coup those expenses through the various methods of selling your art.

Conclusion: Whether to sell prints or strictly one of a kind, originals is a personal decision. The advantages are obvious, yet for some, it goes against the grain. Follow your heart.

License Your Art with a Company

Your “license” is your permission for someone else to market and sell images of your work. How the image is used is agreed upon in the contract.

Advantage: Your art continues to work for you long after you have created it, generating a passive income.

Disadvantage: These companies usually license art only for their own use. Meaning the art is used strictly for that company’s product.

Conclusion: Once you have a contract it is a no hassle way to sell your art. Be sure to sell your license, not your copyright!

License Your Art with a Commercial Licensing Agency

With this type of licensing your image is contracted out to manufacturing companies through the Agency. How the image is used is agreed upon in the contract. It could be used on anything from mugs, dishware, cloth, napkins, art prints, T-shirts stationary and any number of things in the manufacturing industry. Licensing art with an agency is the professionals’ game.

Advantage: Once you create the original artwork and sign a licensing agreement, you can return to the art of creating great Fine Art, all the while earning passive income.

Disadvantage: The licensing market is highly competitive. Agents will only license what they believe they can sell because it literally costs them thousands of dollars to land good contracts with manufactures, publishers and various agencies. They need art they ‘know’ they can sell. Some licensing agents will ask you to put up a significant sum of ‘good faith’ money to help off set their expenses. Then you both cross your fingers that it sells. If the agent doesn’t get paid, you don’t get paid. You get 30-50% of the contract price the agent makes with the purchasing company; about 4-10% of the wholesale price of the product (not retail sale price).

Conclusion: Even at a fraction of the wholesale price, the profits can be huge. If you are talented enough to play that game, my hat goes off to you. Well done!

I am sure you have noticed these selling channels are interrelated. Many Artists will participate in event booths; selling prints, handing out business cards with their web address, drumming up commissioned work and developing a good ‘word of mouth’ reputation all at the same time! And why not? The more you put your work ‘out there’ the more chances you have to sell it. Whether you just dabble in art or make it your bread and butter, there are selling opportunities for you. Some obviously require more time and effort than others. The great part is, between the Internet and local organizations you can get as little or as deeply involved as you want. Keep it fun and enjoy yourself!

Basic Cross Stitch Tips for Beginners

Author: Sherry Frewerd

The art or craft of cross stitch is one of the most popular hobbies in the world. Easy to learn and do, 'cross stitch' is simply embroidery stitched with lots of little 'X' stitches to create a lovely design. This fun craft is sometimes referred to as 'counted cross-stitch' because the pattern and fabric require the crafter to count the number spaces to know where to place the stitches.

Most often, cross stitch patterns are done using a woven fabric called Aida cloth. Some advanced stitchers create designs on other types of fabrics using a special backing to help keep the stitching uniform. The kind of fabric you use depends on your skill level and the type of design you're creating. I've cross stitched designs on my children's clothing, bedding and other items for my home and as gifts.

Skilled cross stitch crafters create beautiful projects by stitching on plastic and various different papers as well. Gift cards and scrapbook designs may be made by stitching on paper of varying thickness and fiber.

Of course you can't cross stitch without the proper thread. The threads used in counted cross stitch range from basic cotton, to wool or silk threads. Usually very colorful, embroidery floss as it's called, comes in all kinds of colors and textures for you to play with.

If you're just beginning to consider learning to cross stitch, your best bet is to learn about the craft itself before you start buying supplies. Your local craft store, bookstore, or library will most likely have several books available that will teach you and provide easy patterns to start with.

Once you know what's expected of you in the craft of cross stitching, you'll want to find some easy projects to begin with that will allow you to learn as you go. You'll want to start with a project that requires only a few colors of thread and a larger weave Aida cloth. By doing so, you'll prevent a lot of unnecessary learner's frustration.

When you sit down to start your first cross stitch project, you'll want to have all of your materials available and easy to get to. Start out by reading through the project instructions. You'll want to look over your pattern and make sure that you understand all of the jargon and markings that you may find on the pattern. There will be a color key that you'll need to understand so that you use the correct thread color. Make sure to have a pencil handy to make notes or your own marks on the pattern for later reference.

Cross stitching requires you to use a six strand of floss or thread and separate it into individual threads. Your pattern will tell you how many threads you'll use at a time. Most often, the larger the weave of your fabric, the more strands of embroidery floss you'll need at a time. Don't rewind your floss and by all means don't let it get tangled or bunched up. Your end project will look flat and even if you take care of your floss.

One key factor in learning to cross stitch is remembering not to knot your thread. Knotting threads in a cross stitch project will make your end result look lumpy and uneven; not a good thing. Just pull your thread through your Aida cloth and make sure to leave a length of thread on the end in the back. You can keep the bit of tail from going completely through the fabric by holding onto it on the back of your fabric as you make your first couple of stitches; they will overlap and hold the thread in place. You may have to practice this easy technique a few times, but you'll get the hang of it soon enough.

Another handy cross stitching tip is when you're ready to change thread colors, just simply pull your needle through the stitches on the back of your fabric to hold your thread before you snip it off with scissors. Make sure to leave a little bit of thread so that it does not come loose and unstitched. Change your thread color and start on the next area of your project as you did before. And during the stitching process, remember to drop your needle every few stitches, meaning, just hold your project in one hand and let the attached needle and thread dangle from the fabric so that the thread unwinds and your next few stitches will be flat.

I can remember learning to cross stitch from a school librarian when I was a young girl. She eased my newbie anxiety with this phrase: 'If you have one eye and half a brain you can cross stitch.' Now, perhaps that may offend some avid cross stitchers, but she didn't mean it in derogatory way. Only that cross stitching is an easy to learn and do craft that just about anyone can master. I mastered it in the 1980's and stitched on anything I could get a needle through and even taught classes to school kids myself as an adult. The biggest problem I and most other cross stitchers have is the addiction of the craft. One thing to keep in mind is to control the number of kits you buy or you'll find yourself with drawers of unfinished projects. Have fun and keep on stitchin'!
